Oklahoma Study of Native American Pain Risk III

The PLAN Lab is current recruiting healthy, pain-free Native Americans for a 5-year, 2.75 million dollar NIH study on the impact of sociocultural stressors and resilience on chronic pain risk in Native Americans. Needs Assessment for Native Americans with Pain
Principal Investigators: Drs. Jamie Rhudy and Joanna Shadlow
The PLAN Lab is conducting a study approved by the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, and Indian Health Service – Oklahoma City Area Office IRBs intended to explore chronic pain in Native American individuals. The goal of this study is to gain information about the current needs of, and resources available to, Native Americans who experience chronic pain.
This study involves filling out several different questionnaires. Participants can choose to do this online through our survey platform Qualtrics or through a mail-in packet. In exchange for filling out these questionnaires, you will receive a gift card worth $25.

Eligible participants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Identify as Native American/American Indian
- Currently have chronic pain
- Be able to read English
